What do you want to be when you grow… old and die?

Paradiso - Amsterdam, January 29th 2010. For one night only, Amsterdam’s legendary temple of pop will be ruled by PIPS:lab’s mad scientists. After ten years of practice it’s time to unleash their DVD and CD 'Best Tof PiPS:lab' unto the public and conquer the world with one of their greatest creations: DIESPACE: the remix, an internet community for the dead.

The evening will be hosted by MARJAN LUIF (a.k.a. Mrs ten Kate, VPRO) and will feature musical cameo’s by: JAMES PANTS (Stones Throw records/L.A) KNALPOT (Eat Concrete) BENJAMIN HERMAN (New Cool Collective). As well as a special skypecameo by the great OBOEMA (Jiskefet), reading from his latest book of poetry ‘op een brommer’ (on a moped). All those present will be immortalized in PIPS:lab’s digital afterlife during the great Diespace upload-extravaganza, brought to you in association with STIJLE WANT.

Basement:

Running dinner with the musical and gastronomical stylings of HOTMAMAHOT, featuring Herrie Gekkehuis, Basrabas, Jeroen de meesterchef, Merlijn Amaro, Sjefke de kok, Raoul etc.

Upstairs:

DOXfamily’s KNOBSTICKER followed by the one and only technobluescountryfunketier STEYE!

Afterparty:

The afterparty upstairs is brought to you by REDNOSEDISTRIKT's DJ's AARDVARCK, SAN PROPER, KC the FUNKAHOLIC & STEVENdePEVEN with a special guestperformance by 'Benny Sings a lovesong'. Downstairs the main hall will be ruled by DEKMANTEL till the early morn. With headliner 'LIL' LOUIS VEGA from Masters at Work (NY). Oneseconds is in charge of visuals with their mobile VJ-act.

Rotterdam – November 11th – 15th

PIPS:lab is taking over the Lantaren/Venster theatre in Rotterdam from the 9th till the 16th of November. Their latest creation, Archie & the Bees, will be seriously shaken up to give you an all new and improved version! PIPS:lab is putting a positive spin on their identity crisis.
