The Clipfanger

The Clipfanger catches its audience and puts it into a video clip. You can directly view the clips on the machine as well as on digital telly or internet. You can pick a song to go with your video, which you'll hear simultaneously with the video footage and the recorded audio from the microphone. The user may express him or herself creatively in movement, song, shouting etc. After recording, the machine bartenders the footage. This is a remix procedure developed by PIPS:lab which rhythmically cuts up and reshuffles audio visual content.

The Clipfanger is an installation made in cooperation with the Parade and KPN. The Graffiti artwork on the machine is made by creative collective Hotmamahot.
